The LITE-ON 6N138-L / 6N139-L series are high gain photocouplers designed for applications requiring high current transfer ratio and isolation. These devices utilize a light emitter diode and an integrated high gain photodetector, offering extremely high current transfer ratios. Separate pins for the photodiode and output stage enable TTL-compatible saturation voltage and high-speed operation. The Vcc and Vo terminals can be tied together for conventional photo Darlington operation, and a base access terminal allows for gain bandwidth adjustment. They are suitable for digital logic ground isolation, low input current line receivers, telephone ring detectors, EIA-RS-232C line receivers, current loop receivers, and high common mode noise line receivers.
