The Broadcom ACPL-214 is a single-channel, half-pitch phototransistor optocoupler designed for AC input applications. It features two inversely parallel connected light-emitting diodes optically coupled to a phototransistor, housed in a 4-pin SO package. This optocoupler provides high input-output isolation voltage of 3750 VRMS and a typical response time of 2 s. With a minimum Current Transfer Ratio (CTR) of 20% at 1 mA input current, the ACPL-214 is suitable for I/O interfaces in programmable controllers and computers, sequence controllers, system appliances, measuring instruments, and signal transmission between circuits of different potentials and impedances.
